  1. Introduction & Description

Terminal Contact Riveting Machine 

Assembly Flow:

A. Terminal Load - Terminal Transferring - Terminal Separating - Terminal Centering

B. Contact Load - Contact Transferring - Contact Separating- Contact Pick-Place- Aligned With Terminal

C. Riveting Process For Terminal & Contact - Contact Checking - NG Sorting - Final Unloading.

1. WORK STATION DESCRIPTION

1.1 Terminal Loading, Feeding, Orientating, Transferring, Separating, Centering

 Full-custom vibratory feeder bowl is introduced to load, sequence, orientate, feed terminals;

 Linear vibratory feeder with full-custom designed and engineered feeding track (lane) to transfer terminal to separating mechanism;

 At the end of transferring track, there is a separating mechanism to separate terminals in-line into single work piece after the fiber sensor detected terminal;

 The single terminal will be pushed to a centering station and ready to align with the silver contact;

1.2 Contact Loading, Sequencing, Feeding, Transferring, Separating, Pick & Place, Aligning

 Full-custom vibratory feeder bowl is introduced to load, sequence, feed contacts;

 Feeding track that driven by linear vibratory feeder is designed to transfer contacts to separating mechanism;

 When the fiber sensor detected that contact arrive in position, the separating mechanism will separate contact from feeding track;

 A pick and place mechanism (unit) will pick and place separated contact and align with the hole of terminal;

1.3 Terminal & Contact Riveting

 The terminal & contact riveting normally consist of two mechanism;

  Mechanism 1 will firstly press down to cover and hold the contact cap after the contact position corrected;

  Mechanism 1 will secondly stacking the end of contact to complete the riveting process task;

1.4 Contact Checking and Inspection

 After the stacking process, a contact detection mechanism will go down to detect if any contact missing which cause the failure of riveting;

 The detection result will become a signal and transfer to the PLC to provide a judging condition for NG Sorting and OK unloading;

1.5 NG Sorting & Final OK Unloading;

 Contact missing for the final product will be taken a NG products and will be sorted from OK product by a pushing mechanism;

 OK product will be unloaded into a container to collect all OK products;
